Commercial Litigator Pamela Berman Joins Robins Kaplan LLP in Latest Expansion of Boston Office
June 18, 2018
Robins Kaplan LLP announced today that Pamela Berman has joined the firm’s Business Litigation Group as a partner, becoming the latest addition to the firm’s expanding Boston office. A seasoned trial attorney with more than 30 years of litigation experience, Berman will concentrate her practice on a wide range of commercial disputes, including health and life sciences, real estate litigation, contract disputes, employment litigation, and securities litigation. As a member of the Boston office, she will provide the benefit of both her wide-ranging legal experience and her deep understanding of Massachusetts state and federal courtrooms.
“Pam brings significant and outstanding courtroom experience to our Business Litigation Group, along with a deep working knowledge of the healthcare and financial industries,” said Tony Froio, managing partner of the Boston office, “Her skills will serve as a great complement to the work we are doing for our existing clients, and her creativity and ingenuity will be an asset to our legal teams across the country.”
Creative and strategic, Berman’s litigation history includes clients in a broad range of industries, including health and life sciences; the financial industry, including securities and banking; manufacturing; and government investigations in the healthcare, financial, and other industries. Her career has been marked by numerous courtroom successes – achievements that have helped earn her a place on Super Lawyers’ “Massachusetts Super Lawyers” list for the past 14 straight years. She has been honored with the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts’ Lelia J. Robinson Award, as well as a Women of Justice Award and a Circle of Excellence Award from Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.
“I am extremely excited to join this outstanding firm of trial lawyers where I can expand and support my practice,” said Berman. “Robins Kaplan has a well-earned reputation for achieving superb results in the courtroom. I am looking forward to becoming part of that team in the Boston Office.”
In addition to her work as a litigator, Berman is involved in several community and professional organizations. She is the vice president of the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus, an Emeritus Board member of the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts, and a member of the Advisory Committee for Judicial Nominations to Boston Federal Court. Pam is a former president of both the Women’s Bar of Massachusetts and the National Conference of Women’s Bar Associations.
Berman received her J.D. from Cornell Law School, and her undergraduate degree from Wells College.
Over its 35-year history, the Boston office has been committed to recruiting the region’s top talent to form its trial and business professional teams. Berman’s arrival at the firm is the latest in a series of moves designed to expand the office’s capabilities and serve the needs of the firm’s diverse client base in the Boston and New England markets. Other recent additions include attorneys Lauren Coppola, Stephen Wald, Timothy Wenger, and Taylore Karpa.
