On Wednesday, December 4, Denise Rahne presented at the Minnesota CLE seminar, “Trust & Estate Litigation in Minnesota.” This seminar explored foundational topics of trust and estate litigation in Minnesota, such as jurisdictional issues, discovery, and trials. It will also cover interested persons, notice requirements, burdens and standards, evidentiary issues and hearings, appellate issues, ADR, fees, and costs.

Session Description:

Use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) for trust and estate disputes presents unique challenges and valuable opportunities. Because trust and estate disputes are often highly emotional and implicate complex family and personal dynamics, settlement can be difficult. But if it can be achieved, the results provide a range of tangible and intangible benefits, from protecting the estate from costly fees and expenses, to stemming further deterioration of familial and personal relationships. Judge Robert A. Blaeser and Denise S. Rahne will be discussing various aspects of ADR for trust and estate disputes.
