New York, NY—May 1, 2018—Robins Kaplan LLP® announced today that Rayna Kessler has been named to the New Jersey Law Journal’s 2018 New Leaders of the Bar list. She is one of 32 New Jersey attorneys under the age of 40 recognized for having already demonstrated their talent and dedication, and are building impressive careers for themselves, serving their clients, and leading the legal profession in New Jersey. The recipients were selected by a panel of distinguished professionals, who evaluated the nominees in four categories: development of the law; advocacy and community contributions; service to the bar; and peer and public recognition.

An attorney in the firm’s National Mass Tort Practice Group, Kessler’s New Jersey practice centers on representing individuals who have been injured by dangerous drugs and medical devices, medical malpractice, and other catastrophic personal injuries. In particular, Kessler has been recognized for her leading role on the Robins Kaplan team representing plaintiffs in the New Jersey multi-district litigation, as well as serving as liaison counsel in the New Jersey state litigation, over the prescription blood pressure medication Benicar, where a global settlement agreement was recently announced totaling $358 million. She is also representing plaintiffs in New Jersey state court and in federal multi-district litigations relating to the antipsychotic medication Abilify. In addition, Kessler is experienced in representing clients in other complex civil litigation matters, including commercial and environmental toxic tort cases throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

A frequent speaker in the industry, Kessler is often invited to lecture and serve on panels concerning pharmaceutical and medical device cases for several organizations, including the Mass Tort Med School, New Jersey Association for Justice, Mass Torts Made Perfect, HarrisMartin, and the American Association for Justice.
