Tara Sutton, Emily Tremblay Shortlisted for Euromoney’s Women in Business Law Awards
April 8, 2024
Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Tara Sutton and Emily Tremblay have been selected as finalists for Euromoney’s 2024 Women in Business Law Awards. Sutton was named to the shortlist for Products Liability Lawyer of the Year, and Tremblay was selected to the IP Rising Stars shortlist.
According to Euromoney, the annual Women in Business Law Awards recognize the country’s leading women lawyers and celebrate the law firms that have impressive initiatives to promote diversity and women in the legal industry.
Sutton, who chairs the firm’s Mass Tort Group, boasts over thirty years of experience marked by consistent triumphs in securing justice for individuals harmed by pharmaceuticals. Notably, she recently served as lead trial counsel for the State of Minnesota in its lawsuit against JUUL and Altria, resulting in a $60.5 million settlement after three weeks of trial. Additionally, Sutton serves as a lead negotiator representing hundreds of Tribal governments in the Opioid multi-district litigation, with settlements exceeding $1.5 billion to date.
Tremblay is a patent litigator dedicated to protecting and monetizing her clients’ intellectual property and technology, as well as helping them expand and protect their competitive footholds within their respective markets. She represents clients in complex, multi-million-dollar patent litigation across various technologies and jurisdictions nationwide. She represents both plaintiffs and defendants in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, computing, semiconductors, and mechanical engineering.
Euromoney will announce the Women in Business Law winners at an awards ceremony in New York on June 13, 2024.
