Two nationwide settlements reached thus far in the DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc, ASR Hip Implant Products Liability Litigation (MDL 2197): one in November 2013 valued at approximately $2.5 billion and another in March 2015 valued at approximately $420 million. Litigation ongoing.

Represented 14-year-old child in deportation proceedings. Obtained T-Visa, designed for victims of severe forms of human trafficking, in 2016. Only about 500 T-Visas are granted annually.

Howerton v. Cargill, Inc. (D. Haw.): Representing Cargill, Incorporated in putative nationwide false-advertising class action concerning allegedly deceptive “natural” food labeling. Class settlement approved 2014.

Argued appeal upholding trial court's decision on jurisdiction and on vacating a transfer order, In re Welfare of Children of R.A.J., 769 N.W. 2d 297 (Minn. Ct. App. July 21, 2009).

Member of trial team in Charbonneau v. Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Pfizer, Inc..  Represented plaintiffs in first Mirapex products liability bellwether trial.  On July 30, 2008, jury returned a verdict in favor of plaintiffs for $8,279,300, including $7.8 million in punitive damages for failing to warn of risk of compulsive behaviors, including pathological gambling, from the Parkinson's drug Mirapex.

Member of trial team in Zwayer v. Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Pfizer, Inc..  Represented plaintiffs in second Mirapex bellwether trial.  Case was confidentially settled prior to closing argument.

Past results are reported to provide the reader with an indication of the type of litigation we practice. They do not and should not be construed to create an expectation of result in any other case, as all cases are dependent upon their own unique fact situation and applicable law.
