Experience

Danielle Rosenthal has extensive experience in complex patent appeals, both as a practitioner, as in-house counsel, and as a former law clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Danielle is also an experienced patent litigator. As a former in-house counsel for a Fortune 100 company, Danielle has handled patent issues across a number of industries, including automation and control, aerospace, and transportation systems. Prior to her in-house experience, Danielle spent several years at an AmLaw 100 firm handling varied patent litigation matters.

As noted above, Danielle also clerked at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit for two years. Through her clerkship as well as her professional history, Danielle has litigated numerous complex patent disputes involving chemicals, medical devices, semiconductors, and computer software.

Danielle received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Yale University. Her educational background enables her to understand and explain highly technical subjects with ease.

Represented Wake Forest University in appeal involving a patented medical device. Reversed JMOL of invalidity. (Prior to joining Robins Kaplan LLP)

Represented Medicis in litigation involving breach of an agreement covering a patented pharmaceutical drug. Resolved litigation on favorable terms. (Prior to joining Robins Kaplan LLP)

Represented Yahoo! in patent litigation involving online bidding for advertisements. Resulted in grant of summary judgment of invalidity. (Prior to joining Robins Kaplan LLP)

Participated in numerous IPR and reexamination proceedings as in-house counsel for a Fortune 100 company. (Prior to joining Robins Kaplan LLP)
