Robins Kaplan Partner Kellie Lerner Named a 2018 Diversity Leader by Profiles in Diversity Journal

November 16, 2017

New York, NY—November 16, 2017—Robins Kaplan LLP® announced today that Kellie Lerner, co-chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee and a partner in the Antitrust and Trade Regulation practice in New York, has been named a 2018 Diversity Leader by Profiles in Diversity Journal. The Diversity Leader award is presented annually to both the organizations that have supported advancements in diversity and inclusion and to the diversity officers who have helped their organization achieve success. Lerner is one of just 24 honorees selected from a worldwide pool of candidates.

According to Profiles in Diversity Journal, “Diversity leaders employ the expertise of their diversity team members to help them meet the evolving needs of today’s business environment. In these organizations, the work of the diversity officer is viewed not as a series of programs, but as a strategy for change.”

Lerner has spearheaded several innovative programs to enhance diversity at Robins Kaplan and in the profession, including the firm’s most innovative program: Leaders Engaged in the Advancement of Diversity, or LEAD. This comprehensive program empowers the firm’s leaders to take concrete steps to increase diversity and holds them accountable for their results. She also played a key role in the development and publication of a groundbreaking Transgender Inclusion Guidebook—which Robins Kaplan believes is a first within the legal profession.

This is the second year in a row that Robins Kaplan has been recognized for this award. Chandra Kilgriff, the firm’s director of diversity, inclusion, and pro bono, was recognized as a Diversity Leader last year.
