Casey Matthiesen Honored with Profiles in Diversity Journal’s Native American/Indigenous Leadership Award

Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Casey Matthiesen has been selected to receive Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 2023 Native American/Indigenous Leadership Award. One of five winners nationwide, she is recognized for her talent, skill, and dedication to mentoring the next generation and supporting Native Americans.
Casey focuses her practice on personal injury and medical malpractice, business litigation, and Native American law issues. She is the third enrolled member in the history of the Yankton Sioux Tribe (Ihaƞktoƞwaƞ Nation) to become an attorney. She is committed to advocating for principles of justice, equality, and the protection of Indigenous rights, using her legal expertise to navigate unique challenges faced by Native communities. She is active within numerous professional associations, currently serving her second term as president of the Minnesota American Indian Bar Association and co-chair of the Minnesota Coalition of Bar Associations of Color. Based on her achievements, she was recently named to The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch.
