With profound sadness, Robins Kaplan LLP announces the sudden passing of New York associate Waleed Abbasi.
An integral member of the New York office, Waleed leaves behind a legacy of warmth and humor. He will be remembered for his tenacious drive to serve his clients, his wonderful spirit and commitment to the firm, his colleagues, and his clients, and will be greatly missed by all.
“More than just a colleague, Waleed’s presence brought warmth, humor, and dedication to our workplace, and his loss will leave a profound void that will be deeply felt by all of us,” said Oren Langer, Managing Partner of the firm’s New York Office. “His personality and drive were contagious, and it rubbed off on all of us who engaged with him.”
“Waleed’s impact reached beyond our New York office,” noted Tony Froio, Chair of the Executive Board & Managing Partner. “A champion of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Waleed worked seamlessly across offices, to make--not just our firm stronger-- the lives of our clients better. He will be deeply missed.”
