Michele Detherage Named President of the Massachusetts Insurance and Reinsurance Bar Association

Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Michele Detherage has been elected President of the Massachusetts Insurance and Reinsurance Bar Association (MIReBA) for the 2021-2022 term.

Michele is an attorney in the firm’s Insurance and Catastrophic Loss Group. She advises a number of insurance companies with respect to both first-party property and third-party liability claims. Michele has counselled clients regarding a broad range of coverage issues, including COVID-19 claims, environmental exposures, business interruptions and intellectual property disputes.

In addition to coverage, Michele also focuses her practice on representing insurers in litigation matters. She has handled both property and liability cases from inception to resolution and has represented her clients at motion hearings, mediation and trial.

In addition to her involvement with MIReBA, Michele serves on the Board of Trustees for a non-profit organization dedicated to helping economically disadvantaged single mothers and their children break the cycle of poverty.
