May 17, 2021

Robins Kaplan is pleased to announce that the firm has been selected as a finalist for the National Law Journal’s 2021 Elite Trial Lawyers award in the areas of Antitrust, Catastrophic Injury, and Civil Rights. This award recognizes U.S. attorneys and law firms that have provided cutting-edge representation and achieved major wins on behalf of plaintiffs.  In addition, Meegan Hollywood, a partner in the firm’s Antitrust and Trade Regulation Group and Kathryn Bennett, a partner in the firm’s Civil Rights Practice Group have been named to the inaugural list of “Rising Stars of the Plaintiffs Bar” award. This category recognizes a select group of young lawyers under age 40 who are up-and-comers in the plaintiffs’ bar.

A partner in the firm’s Antitrust and Trade Regulation Group, Hollywood has helped recover more than $1.5 billion for victims of anticompetitive conduct. Her notable work includes helping her team secure $1.2 billion in settlements in In re Air Cargo Shipping Services Antitrust Litigation, the massive litigation against 32 global airlines. She is currently litigating In re Local TV Advertising Antitrust Litigation, which alleges that the defendants, whom collectively own more than 500 local stations, engaged in a scheme to artificially inflate the price of advertisements in violation of federal antitrust law. Hollywood is the pro bono chair for the New York Office, an advisory board member of the American Antitrust Institute, and vice chair of the American Bar Association Antitrust Law Section Global Private Litigation Committee.

In less than 10 years of practice, Bennett has helped secure tens of millions of dollars for her clients – including a record-setting settlement following the murder of Justine Ruszczyk by a Minneapolis police officer. She has been an integral part of a range of additional civil rights cases, including K-9 police dog attack cases, jail suicide cases, police shooting matters, and a wide range of personal injury matters.  Bennett has previously been named Attorney of the Year by Minnesota Lawyer and a Super Lawyers “Rising Star.” She currently serves as co-chair of Minnesota Women Lawyer’s equity committee, and previously served on the organization’s leadership committee.
