A Force for Good: Robins Kaplan's Pro Bono Program

At Robins Kaplan, we believe justice should be within reach for everyone. That belief fuels our work every day as we stand up for people who otherwise couldn’t access the legal system. Our attorneys bring bold advocacy and unwavering commitment to the courtroom for all our clients, and that includes our pro bono clients. When someone’s safety, housing, or fundamental needs are at stake, we fight to secure the outcomes that matter most.

We partner with more than 60 nonprofit organizations to help us identify pro bono cases that match our attorneys’ skills and interests. And we partner with corporate attorneys to leverage our resources and address unmet needs. Our pro bono services range from brief advice at legal clinics, to consulting with nonprofit attorneys, to full representation at trial.

Pro Bono Accolades

The Daily Journal has named Roman Silberfeld and Tommy Du 2025 California Lawyer Attorneys of the Year (CLAY) for their work in Powers v. McDonough, a class action in which we represent a certified class of homeless veterans with disabilities.
Raoul Shah received the Robins Kaplan 2025 Pro Bono Award at this year’s All Attorney Meeting. In 2025, Raoul dedicated more than 120 hours to pro bono service. His efforts included representing survivors of domestic violence through the Tubman Safety Project, advocating for undocumented children, and supporting systemic reform with The Advocates for Human Rights.

In 2025, Robins Kaplan provided volunteer attorneys to fully staff 34 pro bono legal clinics.
