2025 Patent Stars:
- Jake Holdreith leads the Health and Life Sciences Industry Group at Robins Kaplan. He also serves as the Minneapolis Office Managing Partner and as a member of the firm's Executive Board. A Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Jake is widely regarded as a trusted strategist and trial attorney, known for securing multi-million-dollar verdicts and resolving complex IP and regulatory cases at all stages of litigation.
- Cyrus Morton chairs the firm’s Patent Office Trials Group. For more than 25 years, he has advised clients ranging from solo inventors to global corporations on all aspects of IP litigation. He made history as the first – and still only – attorney to handle all four types of post-grant proceedings under the America Invents Act, establishing himself as a national leader in PTAB practice.
- Christopher Pinahs primarily litigates pharmaceutical and medical device patent disputes. With a background in biological sciences, he also advises life sciences clients on patent strategy, regulatory readiness, and due diligence. Chris has secured key victories in Hatch-Waxman litigation and PTAB proceedings, with significant trial and appellate experience in complex patent disputes.
- Ronald Schutz is the immediate past Chair of the firm’s Executive Board and one of its most experienced trial lawyers. He has secured a nine-figure and multiple eight-figure jury verdicts, triumphing over industry giants like Apple, General Electric, Clear Channel, Sony, and Canon. His courtroom successes include a $110 million verdict in Fonar v. GEand a $89 million verdict in Grantley v. Clear Channel.
- Bryan J. Vogel is a founding partner of the firm’s New York office and leads the firm’s International Trade Commission practice. A nationally recognized trial lawyer and global IP strategist, he handles high-stakes intellectual property disputes across the U.S. and abroad. With a background in chemical engineering and extensive cross-border experience, Bryan is known for his ability to navigate high-stakes litigation and deliver results at trial, on appeal, and in global licensing and technology transactions.
