Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that partners Ronald Schutz and Brendan Johnson have been named to Forbes’ second annual list of America’s Top Lawyers. The list honors elite legal professionals across the country who have distinguished themselves through exceptional legal work, trial success, client service, and peer recognition.

Selected through a rigorous multi-stage process, including nominations, editorial review, and client and peer recommendations, Forbes describes honorees as “trusted counselors in every sense of the word,” and “elite practitioners demonstrating loyalty, capability, and leadership in the law.”

Ronald Schutz, the immediate past Chair of Robins Kaplan’s Executive Board, is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a distinction reserved for the top 1% of trial attorneys in North America. Schutz has secured multiple eight- and nine-figure jury verdicts in high-stakes litigation, including wins against major global corporations such as Apple, General Electric, Clear Channel, Sony, and Canon.

Brendan Johnson, former U.S. Attorney for the District of South Dakota, leads Robins Kaplan’s National Business Litigation Group, overseeing more than 100 litigators across the firm’s seven offices. Since joining the firm in 2015, he has built a prominent national trial practice. He also serves on the firm’s Executive Board.
