Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that David Martinez has been honored with Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 25th Anniversary 2023 Latino Leadership Award. According to Profiles in Diversity Journal, recipients of this award are determined, high-performing, purpose-driven professionals who create value for their colleagues, customers, community, and the organizations where they contribute their talents.

David Martinez is an elected member of the firm’s Executive Board and the pro bono chair of the firm’s California offices. He represents a wide range of U.S. and international clients in all forms of dispute resolution and business counseling, with emphasis in the areas of commercial, intellectual property, and shareholder and partnership litigation, arbitration, and mediation. His clients often include Spanish and other foreign entities interested in developing a presence in the United States. He regularly handles a variety of pro bono matters and serves on the Board of California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc., a nonprofit law firm that provides free civil legal services to low-income residents of California's rural counties.

Mr. Martinez has been recognized for his professional achievements and leadership skills by numerous publications. In 2023, he was listed in Lawdragon’s “500 Leading Litigators in America” and named a “Leader of Influence” by Los Angeles Business Journal. He has been consistently listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, and  the World Trademark Review 1000.
