Overview
Madison Gosch is an associate in the firm’s Business Litigation Group. She draws on two years of experience clerking in federal district court, where she gained firsthand insight into federal litigation, judicial decision-making, and the issues that arise throughout the life of a case.
Before joining Robins Kaplan, Madison served as a law clerk to Judge Karen E. Schreier of the United States District Court for the District of South Dakota. In that role, she conducted legal research, analyzed complex legal issues, drafted opinions and orders, and assisted with preparation for hearings, trials, and other court proceedings. Madison also served as a legal extern to Justice Janine M. Kern of the South Dakota Supreme Court, where she researched a range of legal issues and prepared pre-argument memoranda.
Madison graduated summa cum laude and first in her class from the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law. While in law school, she served as an Articles Editor for the South Dakota Law Review and worked as a research assistant. She also volunteered with East River Legal Services through the R.D. Hurd Volunteer Law Society, assisting with estate planning and custody matters.
