Overview

As a proud Latina and first-generation college student, Jacqueline’s upbringing has deeply shaped the way she pursues law and justice. Growing up, she witnessed how cultural and language barriers often left communities without proper representation, inspiring her to bridge the gap. Her experiences have given her a deep empathy for people in their most difficult moments, driving her passion to advocate for fairness and equity.

In 2019, Jacqueline earned her Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Since graduating, Jacqueline has built a distinguished career in public service law with experience in child protection and adult criminal prosecution. She began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Diamond in Ramsey County District Court, where she gained valuable insight into judicial decision-making and courtroom procedure. In 2020, she joined the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office in the Child Protection Division, representing the Department of Human Services in child protection related matters.  During her tenure, she made more than two hundred court appearances, litigated contested child protection hearings, and tried cases to verdict.

In 2022, Jacqueline transitioned to the Adult Prosecution Division, where she prosecuted felony crimes with a focus on child abuse and domestic violence. In this role, she litigated contested motion hearings involving witness testimony, worked with expert witnesses, and tried cases to verdict, including serving as trial counsel in a homicide trial in February 2025. Jacqueline is dedicated to advocating for justice, protecting victims, and upholding the highest standards of the legal profession.
