Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Brandon Vaughn and Rashanda Bruce have been honored with 2025 Excellence Awards from the Hennepin County Bar Association. These annual awards recognize members of the legal community who demonstrate outstanding service to the local bar, the legal profession, and the broader community.
Brandon Vaughn, a partner in the firm’s Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice group, received the Mentoring in the Profession Award. He is widely regarded as a thoughtful and dedicated mentor who invests deeply in the growth of younger attorneys. Known for his candid guidance and support, Brandon has helped numerous associates navigate complex legal matters, build confidence in their careers, and prepare for leadership within the firm and beyond. Colleagues have praised his ability to foster long-term professional development and to serve as a trusted resource, especially for attorneys of color, within the legal community.
Rashanda Bruce, an associate in the firm’s Mass Tort group, was honored with the Advancing Diversity & Inclusion Award. Her work reflects a deep commitment to justice, both in the courtroom and through community engagement. Rashanda’s advocacy includes raising awareness about medical risks affecting women, including her work on Depo-Provera. She holds leadership roles with the Hennepin County Bar Association, Prodeo Academy, and the Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers, where she helps mentor law students. Rashanda is also a co-founder of LOCUS, which fosters authentic community building and resource sharing for BIPOC individuals in Minnesota.
Brandon and Rashanda will be recognized at the Hennepin County Bar Association Past Presidents' Luncheon on Wednesday, November 5, in Minneapolis.
