Overview
Robins Kaplan LLP serves as co-lead counsel in In re RealPage Inc. Rental Software Antitrust Litigation (No. II), a federal antitrust class action brought on behalf of renters nationwide against RealPage, Inc. and certain property management companies that used RealPage’s rental pricing software. The lawsuits allege that RealPage’s algorithm-based rent-setting platform reduced competition and led to higher rental prices for tenants across the United States.
Pending settlements
On November 21, 2025, the Court overseeing the case granted preliminary approval of 26 settlements involving 27 Defendants. The settlements provide a total of $141,800,000.00 in monetary relief for renters, together with cooperation and injunctive relief designed to address the alleged coordinated-pricing practices.
For settlement purposes, the Court preliminarily approved the following class:
All persons and entities in the United States and its territories who paid rent on at least one multifamily residential real estate lease to any owner or property manager that participated in RealPage’s Revenue Management Solutions, including its pricing or lease-renewal software, or to any related division, subsidiary, predecessor, agent, or affiliate, during the applicable class period.
Although the Class Period differs by defendant, the broadest period covered by these settlements runs from October 18, 2018 through November 21, 2025.
The claims process has not yet opened. Plaintiffs will submit proposed notice and distribution plans to the Court. Eligible renters will be able to submit claims once those plans are approved.
