Experience
Sylvia Ewald represents companies and individuals in commercial litigation and government investigations. Ms. Ewald has represented clients through every stage of litigation, including case evaluation and initiation, mediation, discovery, motion practice, evidentiary hearings, and trial. Ms. Ewald has experience litigating a variety of complex commercial matters, such as contract, securities, and financial services disputes. She has also represented clients in civil and criminal investigations by state and federal agencies.
Prior to joining Robins Kaplan, Ms. Ewald served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Central District of California, where she represented the United States in prosecutions concerning fraud, cyber crime, drug trafficking, and violent crime. Ms. Ewald also previously was an associate with an international law firm in New York, where she was a member of the white-collar defense, securities litigation, and commercial litigation groups. Ms. Ewald began her legal career as a law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
