Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Steven Carlson has been named a “Northern California Super Lawyer” for the tenth consecutive year. Additionally, Belle Borovik has been recognized as a “Northern California Rising Star.”
According to Super Lawyers, the “Super Lawyers” and “Rising Stars” selection process is a comprehensive, good-faith, and detailed attempt to produce a list of lawyers that have attained high peer recognition, meet ethical standards, and have demonstrated some degree of achievement in their field. No more than five percent of attorneys can be recognized as “Super Lawyers” in any given year, and no more than 2.5 percent may be named “Rising Stars.”
Steven Carlson is a partner in Robins Kaplan’s Intellectual Property and Technology Group and a nationally recognized first-chair trial lawyer. He represents clients in complex patent, trade secret, and copyright litigation across a wide array of technologies—from medical devices to machine learning. A Yale Law graduate and former Federal Circuit clerk, Steven also teaches advanced patent litigation at UC Berkeley and has co-authored key legal texts used by federal judges.
Belle Borovik is an attorney in Robins Kaplan's Intellectual Property and Technology Group, where she represents clients in cutting-edge disputes involving AI, blockchain, and other frontier technologies. She holds a J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Lomonosov University. Before joining Robins Kaplan, Belle served as Head of Intellectual Property at a leading blockchain technology company, where she built and monetized a global IP portfolio.
