Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Jessica Gutierrez has been named to Law360’s Rising Stars of 2025, a prestigious list of attorneys under 40 whose “legal accomplishments belie their age.” Jessica was one of approximately 150 attorneys selected from over 1,100 submissions nationwide, and one of just six attorneys recognized for their accomplishments in intellectual property law.
Jessica is a trial attorney with deep experience in intellectual property and technology disputes, bringing her engineering background to bear on complex cases across industries including medical devices, mobile technology, software, energy, and consumer products. She litigates patent, copyright, and trademark cases and guides clients through every stage of litigation, from pre-suit evaluation through appeal. Her practice spans federal district court, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and the Court of Federal Claims.
In 2024, Jessica played a key role in obtaining a $42.4 million verdict in a high-stakes patent infringement case, which is believed to be the largest patent jury verdict in the District of Minnesota history. This accomplishment earned her recognition as an “Attorney of the Year” by Minnesota Lawyer. She has also been recognized in Benchmark Litigation’s 40 & Under Guide, The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch, Super Lawyers’ Minnesota Rising Stars, and Minnesota Monthly’s Top Lawyers. Beyond her practice, Jessica has coached for the University of St. Thomas School of Law’s National Patent Drafting Competition Team since 2019, helping to train the next generation of patent attorneys.
