Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Ellen Jalkut has been promoted to Counsel.

Based in the firm’s New York office, Ellen focuses her practice on complex antitrust litigation, representing plaintiffs in class actions involving price-fixing, unlawful monopolization, and other anticompetitive conduct. She plays a leadership role in several significant matters, including In re HDD Suspension Assemblies Antitrust Litigation and In re Granulated Sugar Antitrust Litigation, helping to shape litigation strategy and advance claims on behalf of consumer end-user classes.

“Ellen is a strategic antitrust lawyer with the judgment and leadership needed to manage complex class actions,” said Oren Langer, Managing Partner of the firm’s New York office. “She has earned the trust of clients and colleagues alike, and her promotion to Counsel reflects the depth of her experience and the role she plays in advancing our plaintiffs’ antitrust practice.”

Ellen brings a strong interdisciplinary perspective to her practice, informed by her background in economics and early experience in economic consulting. She earned a master’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan and later clerked for Judge William G. Young of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. She is also an active speaker and writer on developments in antitrust and class action litigation.
