Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that partner Anne Lockner has been named a 2026 Notable Nonprofit Board Member by Twin Cities Business. The recognition honors Minnesota business leaders who make meaningful contributions to nonprofit organizations and the communities they serve.

Lockner has a longstanding commitment to nonprofit leadership, with a particular focus on the arts, access to justice, and community service. She currently serves as Chair of the Board Affairs and Governance Committee and a member of the Executive Committee for Children’s Theatre Company (CTC), where she helps guide governance, leadership accountability, and long-term strategy.

Lockner also recently completed her term as Chair of The Fund for Legal Aid, the fundraising arm of Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, after previously serving as vice chair and treasurer. She remains a member of the organization’s Executive Committee and continues to support its mission of expanding access to legal services for Minnesotans who might otherwise be unable to afford representation.

Throughout her career, Lockner has held leadership and volunteer roles with organizations including The Advocates for Human Rights, Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, the Georgetown Law Alumni Board, The Basilica Landmark, and The Basilica of St. Mary.

A hallmark of Lockner’s community involvement is her commitment to bringing others into nonprofit service. She regularly connects colleagues with organizations and causes, encourages participation and giving, and helps others identify opportunities to serve in volunteer and board leadership roles.

“Nonprofit board service has given me the opportunity to support organizations whose missions I care deeply about while working alongside people who bring tremendous energy and experience to that work,” Lockner said. “I’m grateful for this recognition and especially for the many colleagues, clients, and community members who continue to show up for these organizations.”
