Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Rashanda Bruce has been named one of Finance & Commerce’s 2025 Rising Young Professionals, which honors 32 standout individuals across Minnesota’s business community who exemplify leadership, excellence, and innovation in their fields.
Bruce, an attorney in the firm’s mass tort and personal injury groups, has built a reputation as a fierce courtroom advocate and a dedicated ally for clients in high-stakes, complex litigation. She was part of the trial team that secured a landmark $7.75 million verdict—later increased to nearly $10.5 million—against CRC Industries for its failure to prevent the foreseeable misuse of its aerosol duster products.
Other major legal victories include a $7.5 million verdict in a wrongful death case involving a fatal shooting after a traffic incident, and a $650,000 settlement in a case centered on alleged mental health care failures. Bruce’s unique journey from case assistant to paralegal to attorney underscores her deep understanding of the legal process and commitment to justice.
In addition to her courtroom success, Bruce is a recognized leader in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession. Her recent honors include being named to Lawdragon’s 500 X – The Next Generation, listed in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch, and receiving the Advancing Diversity & Inclusion Award from the Hennepin County Bar Association. She is active in numerous professional and civic organizations, serving on the boards of the Hennepin County Bar Association, the Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers, and Prodeo Academy.
Bruce will be recognized at an awards event on Thursday, December 11, at Quincy Hall in Minneapolis.
