Paralegals
Robins Kaplan paralegals are highly skilled professionals and integral members of the legal services team. Our paralegals provide quality service to attorneys and clients by managing numerous aspects of our clients’ cases, including interviewing witnesses, handling preliminary investigations, organizing and analyzing documents, maintaining complex databases, drafting documents, and preparing exhibits for use at client presentations, depositions, and trial.
Our firm has more than 30 paralegals practicing in intellectual property, business litigation, estates, probate and trusts, insurance, mass tort, antitrust, and personal injury/medical malpractice. Our paralegals have decades of experience in all of our practice areas, possessing unique expertise and abilities that allow them to provide invaluable support to our attorneys and deliver value to our clients.
Robins Kaplan paralegals work with some of the best technology available to manage client matters efficiently and accurately. Databases, imaging, and other technical platforms have enabled our paralegals to handle millions of documents for large cases as well as detailed information for smaller cases. By coordinating with both in-house resources and outside vendors throughout the nation, our paralegals are able to deliver quality and efficient technical legal support and services to our attorneys and clients.
Nearly half of our paralegal group are senior-level paralegals who have attained this status by demonstrating practice area expertise and dedication to the firm and our clients. The firm is also fortunate to have experienced senior-level trial paralegals who have supported our trial teams at hundreds of jury trials and arbitrations throughout the nation. Our trial paralegals take the lead in the trial preparation and “at trial” support. Our paralegals own the responsibility of ensuring our trial teams have everything they need to present our evidence and serve our clients toward eventual courtroom success.
We have gained a national reputation for the progressive approach taken in hiring, utilizing, training and rewarding paralegals, having had a formal Paralegal Program since 1985. The firm has the premier Paralegal Internship program in the Midwest, providing valuable learning resources for the best and brightest paralegal students. Our Paralegal Program has been cited and/or discussed in over eighteen national publications including The National Law Journal, The Kiplinger Report, Law Office Compensation & Benefits Report, and Legal Assistant Today.
