Secured Judgment in Excess of $2 Million for Medical Device Manufacturer Against Former Employee for Breach of Contract Over Confidential Information

Covidien LP et al. v. Esch (D. Mass.)
Robins Kaplan LLP served as lead trial counsel for medical device manufacturer Covidien LP in a case in which a federal jury in Massachusetts held the defendant, a former Covidien employee, liable for breaching his contracts with Covidien by disclosing and using confidential information to start his own company. Final judgment exceeded $2 million.
