My Head is Killing Me: An Evaluation of Non-Traumatic Postpartum Headaches

Headache is a common complaint for a vast number of patients visiting emergency departments. Differentiating non-traumatic, life threatening headaches from the overwhelming majority of headaches that are benign is critically important for women in the postpartum period. The peripartum period is a time of hypercoagulability for women generally.
