The days of patients relying solely on family physicians for health care information are long gone. As with many things, when we need information about an illness or a medical condition, we turn to "the Google." And though most online health queries begin at a search engine, a not-insignificant number start somewhere else, such as Wikipedia. Those who are Internet-savvy tend to be avid social media users, spending more time with their social networks than on email, especially with their Facebook friends. An estimated 200,000 people are likely to start there if they have a question.
