Tommy H. Du Joins Robins Kaplan’s Business Litigation Group

Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to welcome Tommy H. Du to the firm’s Business Litigation Group, where he offers advice and representation in the areas of employment, real estate litigation, subrogation, and construction. He is admitted to practice in California and the U.S. District Court, Central District of California.

Du has represented a range of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to individuals, in every aspect of litigation. He has obtained outright dismissals of lawsuits for clients through active participation in discovery and preparation of dispositive motions. His background includes experience in a wide array of industries, including automotive, health care, manufacturing, real estate, and retail.

A 2015 graduate of UC Irvine School of Law, Du distinguished himself as the senior editor of the UC Irvine Law Review. He was also the 2015 first-place finisher in the UCI Law School Mock Trial Competition.

During law school, Du earned Pro Bono High Honors for completing over 200 hours of pro bono service with various public interest organizations, including Bet Tzedek, Public Law Center, and Public Counsel. As part of his pro bono efforts, Du worked under the supervision of Dean Erwin Chermerinsky to help draft briefs and argue in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of an incarcerated individual who was denied medical treatment on the basis of his race.

Du received his B.A. in Political Science and Economics from UC Irvine in 2012.
