Robins Kaplan LLP Announces 2019 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow and Pathfinder

Robins Kaplan LLP today announced that Alexandria Reyes has been selected as a member of the 2019 class of Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellows—a program established to identify, train, and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession. She is the ninth Robins Kaplan attorney to participate in this program since its inception in 2011. Additionally, Shui Li has been selected as a member of the 2019 class of Pathfinders, an LCLD program designed to train early-career attorneys in critical career development strategies.

Alexandria Reyes represents commercial clients in contract disputes, products liability defense, patent litigation, financial and consumer protection litigation, and other complex business litigation. She is also part of the firm’s Health Care Litigation Group and represents various health care plans in multi-million dollar litigation with providers involving claims improper billing, breach of contract, and fraud.

In addition to her legal practice, Alex is deeply committed to her community. A St. Paul native, she is a board member of the St. Paul Central High School Foundation and a co-organizer of the Philando Castile Memorial Scholarship. She is also president-elect of the Alumni Council for her alma mater, Wake Forest University, and is president of the local Wake Forest alumni club, Wake Minneapolis.

Shui Li is a patent attorney who represents clients on complex intellectual property and technology monetization campaigns. Her practice primarily focuses on patent litigation and Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings. She represented the petitioner in the first instituted derivation proceeding in the PTAB. She also has experience with International Trade Commission (ITC) proceedings.

Shui is also active in her community. She is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association's Model Patent Jury Instructions Subcommittee, a supporter of the Minneapolis Institute of Art, and a former representative of the Twin Cities Diversity in Practice's Young Lawyers Group.

Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 285 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a truly diverse legal profession. The LCLD Fellows Program, which has trained more than a thousand mid-career attorneys since 2011, is one of LCLD’s most important initiatives. The LCLD Pathfinder Program is now in its third year as a full-scale program, having been piloted in 2015 among a select number of LCLD Member law firms and corporations.
