Oren Langer Named New York Hiring Partner

Oren Langer

Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Oren Langer has been named hiring partner of the firm’s New York office. He replaces Hollis Salzman, who served as both hiring partner and assistant managing partner for four years before assuming the role of managing partner last month.

“We are thrilled to have Oren in this role,” says Ron Schutz, chair of the firm’s executive board. “He will be a tremendous asset to our leadership team as we continue to seek the best and brightest talent to join our firm’s New York office.”

Langer, who was promoted to partner earlier this year, focuses his practice on intellectual property and complex commercial litigation. His experience spans various industries, including pharmaceuticals (under the Hatch-Waxman Act regulatory framework), chemicals, telecommunications, video gaming, and retail services. He also advises clients on transactional matters, including licensing negotiations and campaigns, and monetizing intellectual property in anticipation of prospective mergers or acquisitions. Langer is a committed pro bono advocate for clients that need legal help but cannot afford or access it. He recently secured asylum for a Kyrgyz woman and her husband on the basis of religious discrimination after a seven-year court battle. He also counsels various artists and takes part in clinics in association with the organization Volunteer Lawyer for the Arts.
