November 17, 2005

Atlanta (November 2005) – Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. is proud to announce the Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. Scholarship Fund, which will give the University of Georgia School of Law $80,000 to cover full tuition for students for 10 years.  The firm's Private Foundation has committed to fund this scholarship at an amount of $8,000 per year, approximately the cost of one student's annual tuition.

The scholarship supports University of Georgia School of Law's mission of furthering educational diversity, and will be awarded to those students who have overcome significant disadvantages or hardships, or who belong to groups historically underrepresented in law schools and the legal profession.

"Diversity is an important core value of our firm and it is our hope that this scholarship will enable the University of Georgia School of Law to produce a more diverse graduating class," said Michael V. Ciresi, the firm's chairman.  "As state law precludes the use of Georgia state funds for student scholarships, the need for external scholarship support is great, and we are honored to give to this outstanding law school."
