Four Partners Named to Lawdragon 500 Leading Civil Rights & Plaintiff Employment Lawyers Guide
August 7, 2023
Robins Kaplan LLP is proud to announce that partners Bob Bennett, Katie Bennett, Marc Betinsky, and Andrew Noel have been recognized in the 2023 Lawdragon 500 Leading Civil Rights & Plaintiff Employment Lawyers guide. This list honors exceptional lawyers who “make it their life’s work to stand up for others who are denied equal treatment.”
Bob Bennett, Katie Bennett, Marc Betinsky, and Andrew Noel are members of the firm’s Civil Rights and Police Misconduct Group. The team has achieved unprecedented success in cases involving a variety of claims, including unreasonable seizures, use of excessive force including improper deadly force, jail and prison suicides, and deliberate indifference to a prisoner’s serious medical and mental health needs.
Their work has changed the legal landscape for civil rights law and resulted in millions of dollars for victims. In one notable recent result, they secured two settlements totaling $8,875,000 with the City of Minneapolis on behalf of clients John Pope and Zoya Code – two victims of police misconduct at the hands of Derek Chauvin and other Minneapolis Police Department officers.
Together, the group’s accolades include recognition in The Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, the Lawdragon 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers guide, Minnesota Lawyer’s POWER 30 list, and more.
