Amy Churan Named to
LA Business Journal’s Thriving in Their 40’s List
December 19, 2022
Robins Kaplan is pleased to announce that Amy Churan has been selected for inclusion in the LA Business Journal’s “Thriving in Their 40’s” list. The list recognizes trusted advisors in Los Angeles who have achieved outstanding professional successes and made significant contributions to the community.
Amy focuses her practice on complex insurance coverage, bad faith litigation and business litigation. She has extensive nationwide experience in litigation stemming from a variety of catastrophic events, including building collapses, explosions, floods, riots, pipeline failures, tsunamis, fires, earthquakes, and COVID-19. Representing clients across the U.S. and abroad, Amy has a deep understanding of highly complex matters involving property insurance litigation, insurance coverage, and subrogation, as well as stringently regulated California bad faith claims.
Amy has been recognized for her accomplishments by numerous organizations. In 2021, she was named a “Women of Influence” by the LA Business Journal and an “Insurance Trailblazer” by The National Law Journal. She has also been listed in the 2020-2023 editions of The Best Lawyers in America.
A transplant to Los Angeles from the Midwest, Amy remains active in professional and community activities. She is a certified instructor for the state on California Fair Claims Regulations and California Earthquake Certification, and she frequently delivers CLE programs and seminars for insurers and independent claims adjusters. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Venice, a role in which she earned the 2014 Community Leader Award.
