David Martinez and Roman Silberfeld Named 2022 Leaders of Influence By Los Angeles Business Journal
July 20, 2022
Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that David Martinez and Roman Silberfeld have been included in the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2022 “Leaders of Influence: Litigators & Trial Attorneys” special edition publication. This list recognizes a select number of attorneys who are considered trusted advisors and the “very best litigators and trial attorneys in the region.”
David Martinez is an elected member of the firm’s executive board and the pro bono chair of the firm’s California offices. Along with fellow board members, he steers, shapes, and advises on the firm’s diversity and inclusion initiatives and other policies on talent recruitment, compensation, and career development. David represents a wide range of U.S. and international clients in all forms of dispute resolution and business counseling, with emphasis in the areas of commercial, intellectual property, and shareholder and partnership litigation, arbitration, and mediation. His clients often include Spanish and other foreign entities interested in developing a presence in the United States. David regularly handles a wide variety of pro bono matters and has expanded access to justice to underserved rural Californians.
Roman Silberfeld is a titan of the trial bar in the Los Angeles legal community. With more than 80 trial wins to date, Silberfeld has influenced the entertainment industry’s business practices, safeguarded California consumers, and pursued justice for Californians harmed by the opioid health crisis. He has more than 40 years of experience in civil and criminal cases, including white-collar crime, environmental, personal injury, antitrust, and securities law. He has been lead counsel in a number of high-profile trials, representing both plaintiffs and defendants, and has secured multiple notable victories including a $319 million judgment against Walt Disney in a case over profits from ABC’s “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.” The verdict he secured in that trial is the largest ever obtained in a Hollywood accounting lawsuit.
