Sharon Roberg-Perez Recognized As Woman Worth Watching by Profiles in Diversity Journal
September 20, 2021
Profiles in Diversity Journal has named Robins Kaplan LLP Partner Sharon Roberg-Perez to its 2021 Women Worth Watching in Leadership list, which recognizes women across the globe who are making a difference in their workplaces and communities.
Dr. Roberg-Perez is a partner in the Intellectual Property and Technology Litigation Group and co-chair of the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. She is an M.I.T-trained Ph.D. who leverages over a decade of experience working as a molecular biologist in her patent litigation practice, which is focused on biotechnology and medical device clients. She has been trial counsel in hard-fought, multimillion-dollar patent cases between competitors, represented clients in contested-proceedings before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and counsels and advises clients on minimizing the disruptive impact a dispute may have on their day-to-day business.
In addition to her intellectual property practice, Dr. Roberg-Perez has an active pro bono practice. She served as co-counsel with Lambda Legal in successfully representing an incarcerated transgender woman who had been denied necessary medical care under an unconstitutional, Missouri Department of Corrections’ policy. She has been recognized for her professional accomplishments and leadership, being named an “Up and Coming Attorney” by Minnesota Lawyer, a “Super Lawyer” by Super Lawyers, and a 2014 fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.
