Anne Lockner Receives Corporate Counsel’s 2021 Women, Influence and Power in Law Award
August 23, 2021
Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that partner Anne Lockner has received Corporate Counsel’s 2021 Women, Influence and Power in Law Award in the area of Collaborative Leadership – Law Firm.
The Women, Influence and Power in Law awards honor general counsel, in-house leaders and law firm partners who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing the empowerment of women in law. Ms. Lockner was nominated because of her role in facilitating a network for Women General Counsel. Robins Kaplan had been hosting this group for several years, but when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Ms. Lockner began hosting weekly virtual meetings for the Women GCs and the group which had once been limited to those in Minnesota expanded nationally. In addition to hosting weekly calls (which have now moved to a monthly cadence), Robins Kaplan offers CLEs and social events for the group. Also integral to these efforts are Ms. Lockner’s partners, Denise Rahne, Sherry Roberg-Perez, and Stacey Slaughter, along with staff support from Emily Lawson and Becky Bickett.
Ms. Lockner is a business litigation attorney and member of the firm’s executive board. She has experience in numerous areas of complex business litigation including fiduciary claims, breach of contract, class-action defense, healthcare-fraud litigation, and privacy and data breach matters. Using her extensive litigation and trial experience, Ms. Lockner works with business leaders facing legal disputes to offer strategic legal guidance on how to use litigation—either defensively or affirmatively—to meet their business objectives.
Ms. Lockner has been recognized for her accomplishments by numerous organizations. For the past nine years, she has been named a “Minnesota Super Lawyer” by Superlawyers and included in the Best Lawyers in America® list. She has also been named a “Litigation Star” by Benchmark Litigation for eight years. In 2013, she received the Women in Business Award from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal and was included in the Top 250 Women in Litigation list by Benchmark Litigation.
Ms. Lockner will be honored at an awards dinner on October 7 in Washington D.C.
