Ronald Schutz, Christopher Larus, and Cyrus Morton named in IAM Global Leaders Guide
November 30, 2020
Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that intellectual property litigators Ronald Schutz, Christopher Larus, and Cyrus Morton have been included in the 2021 edition of IAM Global Leaders: Interviews with the Pinnacle of the Patent Law Profession. According to IAM, the Global Leaders guide serves as a directory for the world’s foremost patent practitioners.
- Ronald Schutz is Chair of the firm’s Executive Board. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has been recognized by many legal organizations and publications as one of the top lawyers in the country, including The National Law Journal, which named him one of the “Top 10 Winning Litigators in the United States.” He has won a nine-figure and multiple eight-figure jury verdicts, and has secured trial victories against behemoths such as Apple, General Electric, Clear Channel, Sony, and Canon.
- Christopher Larus is the Chair of the firm’s National IP and Technology Litigation Group. For more than 25 years, he has helped leading technology companies protect and monetize their intellectual property. He tries complex patent, trade secret, trademark, and copyright and licensing dispute cases in courts throughout the United States in both national and international arbitration. He has extensive experience planning and implementing licensing campaigns involving a broad range of intellectual property assets and technologies.
- Cyrus Morton is the Chair of the firm’s Patent Office Trial Group, which focuses on the procedures for addressing patent validity at the Patent Office under the America Invents Act. Mr. Morton’s experience as an inventor, patent attorney, and 20 years of patent litigation have helped him secure many victories on behalf of patent owners and petitioners. Mr. Morton is the only PTAB practitioner who has handled all four types of post grant proceedings under the AIA.
This is the second year Schutz, Larus, and Morton have been named to the Global Leaders Guide. According to IAM, “All those listed as IAM Global Leaders merit special attention not only because of their expertise and experience relating to creating, protecting, managing, transacting and enforcing critical patent rights, but also for their ability to innovate, inspire and go above and beyond to deliver for their clients.”
