New York Business Litigation Group Recognized by Benchmark Litigation

October 26, 2020

Benchmark Litigation recently published its 2021 rankings of the top litigation firms nationwide, and the publication reserved special praise for Robins Kaplan’s New York Business Litigation Group, headed by Craig Weiner.

According to Benchmark Litigation, “Robins Kaplan’s New York office has seen a pronounced spike in its profile recently, which is largely credited to Craig Weiner and future star Lisa Coyle in the financial and commercial group.” The New York Business Litigation Group has earned a reputation for taking on some of the most complex and contentious business litigation matters in New York and beyond. In recent years, the group has proven that reputation is well justified with cases like Sonoro Invest S.A. v. Abakan, Inc., a contentious shareholder derivative action that quickly grew into a long-term, nation-spanning case that was litigated in federal and state courts in New York, Nevada, Ohio, and Florida. Other recent cases include matters involving shareholder disputes, financial fraud, professional malpractice, defamation, and #metoo/employment litigation.

Benchmark Litigation has named Robins Kaplan a “recommended firm” for dispute resolution in New York. The firm also earned a place on Benchmark’s list of top commercial litigators nationwide.
