Teresa Fariss Mcclain Recognized as Woman worth Watching by Profiles in Diversity Journal
September 18, 2020
Profiles in Diversity Journal has named Robins Kaplan LLP partner Teresa Fariss McClain to its 2020 Women Worth Watching list, which recognizes women pioneers across the globe who are making a difference in their workplaces and communities.
McClain has devoted her practice to helping others – helping the injured seek justice, helping women lawyers to advance in the profession, and helping to create opportunities for those in her community. As a partner in Robins Kaplan’s Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice Group, she has helped to achieve numerous seven-figure results for her clients, including a 2019 jury verdict for over $3 million.
Beyond her work on behalf of her clients, McClain has long been a dedicated advocate for women in the legal profession. She is a longtime member of Minnesota Women Lawyers, and from 2013-2014, served as the organization’s president. As president, she led the creation of the Minnesota Women Lawyers Foundation, an organization that supports the charitable activities of MWL. Teresa also served as president of the MWL Foundation from 2017-2019, and continues to serve on the organization’s board of directors. In 2014, in recognition of her work establishing the MWL Foundation, Teresa was named an “Attorney of the Year” by Minnesota Lawyer.
