Aaron Sheanin Named to Inaugural List of Daily Journal Top Antitrust Lawyers
June 24, 2020
Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Aaron Sheanin has been named to the Daily Journal’s list of Top Antitrust Lawyers. The list honors leading antitrust practitioners in plaintiff, defense, and government work. This is the first year the Daily Journal has published the list.
Aaron Sheanin has been a leader in some of California’s most significant antitrust matters in recent years, including cases involving electronic components, financial products, and college student athletics. The Silicon Valley-based partner serves as co-lead counsel representing a class of end-user plaintiffs in In re Hard Disk Drive Suspension Assemblies Antitrust Litigation.
Mr. Sheanin served as co-lead counsel in In re Wells Fargo Collateral Protection Insurance Litigation, a class action on behalf of more than two million automobile loan borrowers on whose accounts Wells Fargo and National General Insurance Corporation force-placed duplicative and unnecessary automobile insurance. Defendants settled for more than $432 million. He also represents plaintiffs in class action litigation alleging anticompetitive practices in the poultry industry and unlawful monopolization of the mumps vaccine market.
Mr. Sheanin is an advisor to the executive committee of the California Lawyers Association’s Antitrust, UCL, and Privacy Section, having served on the executive committee from 2013 to 2016. He also serves as a contributing editor for the Class Actions chapter of Antitrust Treatise, an authoritative description of California’s antitrust and unfair competition statutes, policies, and issues. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Legal Aid at Work, a San Francisco-based nonprofit legal services organization that has been assisting low-income, working families for more than 100 years.
