Kate Jaycox Receives American Association for Justice’s “Above and Beyond” Award
July 27, 2018
Robins Kaplan LLP is proud to announce that Kate Jaycox was awarded a 2018 “Above and Beyond Award” by the American Association for Justice (AAJ). The award recognizes the efforts of AAJ members who have made exceptional contributions to sustain and strengthen the organization.
A principal in Robins Kaplan’s Mass Tort Group, Jaycox represents individuals and families who have been injured by the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. She currently serves as co-chair of AAJ’s Stockert 3T Heater-Cooler Litigation Group and on the Plaintiff’s Steering Committee for the Multi-District Litigation regarding Zofran, an anti-nausea drug that has been associated with birth defects.
A longtime member of AAJ, Jaycox is passionate about AAJ’s mission to promote a fair and effective justice system. She has served on the organization’s board of governors since 2012. She is also an elected member of AAJ’s Women Trial Lawyers’ Caucus Executive Committee. This is not the first time her efforts have been recognized by AAJ—Jaycox has twice previously received AAJ’s New Lawyer Division Excellence Award.
In the past year, Jaycox has also been included on Super Lawyers’ list of Minnesota Super Lawyers, listed in The Best Lawyers in America, and named the 2017 “Member of the Year” by the Minnesota Association for Justice.
