Leading Antitrust Attorney Eamon O’Kelly Joins Robins Kaplan LLP in New York
Veteran AmLaw200 Practice Group Leader Bolsters Thriving Antitrust Group
September 8, 2016
NEW YORK, NY—September 8, 2016—Robins Kaplan LLP® announced today that Eamon O’Kelly has joined the firm’s Antitrust and Trade Regulation Group as of counsel in the firm’s New York office.
“Eamon’s depth of experience as an accomplished antitrust litigator combined with his background as a trusted regulatory advisor on competition issues will further enhance the capabilities of our growing antitrust practice in New York,” said Hollis Salzman, co-chair of Robins Kaplan’s Antitrust and Trade Regulation Group and assistant managing partner of the New York office. “His work successfully defending Fortune 100 companies in complex antitrust litigation fits in well with our strategy to provide a breadth of perspective to our clients on both sides of the courtroom.”
Mr. O’Kelly previously led the nationwide antitrust practices of Arent Fox and Dewey & LeBoeuf where he defended large publicly traded companies in “bet the company” litigation under the Sherman Act, Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, and Federal Trade Commission Act, among other statutes. His frequent cross-border work has included class actions arising out of European Commission cartel investigations and numerous international arbitrations. In addition to his work as a litigator, he counsels clients on regulatory issues in connection with mergers and acquisitions, pricing and distribution, and anti-bribery laws.
“I admire the cutting-edge work coming out of Robins Kaplan’s antitrust group,” said Mr. O’Kelly. “I am very pleased to be joining them in their New York office, where the antitrust practice is bustling with a variety of interesting national and cross-border engagements.”
Mr. O’Kelly’s work has been recognized by Chambers USA, Global Competition Review, Best Lawyers, and Super Lawyers. For many years, he served as a member of the editorial board of the leading treatise on state antitrust laws.
