Law360 Names Robins Kaplan LLP to Inaugural Litigation Powerhouses List
July 27, 2016
Minneapolis, MN—July 27, 2016—Robins Kaplan LLP® is pleased to announce it has been named to Law360’s inaugural list of Litigation Powerhouses.
Law360 ranked the top law firms for litigation based on their scores in three categories: total number of litigators and litigation partners; wins in litigation in the past year; and new litigation matters the firm was hired to work on in the past year. The publication honored firms that “leveraged their deep legal talent to score remarkable wins for their clients.” Robins Kaplan is one of only 50 firms to be honored.
Robins Kaplan is one of the few firms in the country with a National Trial Chair dedicated to bringing the best ideas, techniques, and tactics to its trial practice. The firm is well-known for successfully taking disputes to trial—even in the largest matters, against the most well-resourced counterparties.
In the past year alone, the firm has secured appellate wins in cases like Insulate SB, Inc. v. Advanced Finishing Systems, Inc., securing a dismissal of a putative antitrust class action against client Graco, Inc., and Purdue Pharm. Prods. L.P. v. Actavis Elizabeth LLC, a Federal Circuit victory for client Novel Laboratories in an intellectual property battle over sleep aids. Robins Kaplan has also secured numerous trial wins and pre-trial dismissals in courts around the country, all helping solidify its spot on the Litigation Powerhouses list.
Law360 also lauded Robins Kaplan for the many high-profile matters it has been hired to work on in the past year, including its representation of former students of Corinthian Colleges, Inc. in the bankruptcy proceeding of what was formerly one of the nation’s largest for-profit school networks, and its co-lead counsel role in antitrust litigation against the dominant manufacturers of contact lenses, representing a nationwide class of consumers in the $4 billion contact lens market.
Robins Kaplan has received numerous accolades for its litigation prowess, including on the National Law Journal’s Elite Trial Lawyers list and in Law360’s Trial Pros series.
