MINNEAPOLIS, September 29, 2015—Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that K. Craig Wildfang and Hollis Salzman, Co-Chairs of the firm's Antitrust and Trade Regulation Practice, have been named to The National Law Journal’s first-ever Antitrust and M&A Trailblazers list. Mr. Wildfang and Ms. Salzman are two of only 50 attorneys honored.

The list recognizes attorneys who have moved the needle in antitrust law, and honors the extraordinary accomplishments of innovative thinkers and leading practitioners in this space.

The National Law Journal highlighted Mr. Wildfang’s work in In re Payment Card Interchange Fee and Merchant Discount Litigation, where he led a team that secured a $7.25 billion settlement for a class of approximately seven million merchants in the United States. Described by one of Mr. Wildfang's adversaries as "the Super Bowl of antitrust litigation," the matter lasted more than 10 years and is believed to be the largest-ever settlement of a private antitrust case in the 120-year history of the Sherman Act.

Ms. Salzman was honored for her groundbreaking work in In re Automotive Parts Antitrust Litigation, highlighted as a "massive international conspiracy that may end up the biggest antitrust case in history." The National Law Journal also emphasized Ms. Salzman’s work in a prescription drug class action, in which she set up a settlement distribution so that proceedings went to community health centers to subsidize the cost of prescription drugs for the uninsured. Ms. Salzman’s profile notes that she is the "rare senior woman lawyer in a very male-oriented bar," who "acts as a role model for younger women who are figuring out how to make a career for themselves."
