Lawrence Farese Appointed to International Academy of Trial Lawyers Board of Directors

NAPLES (March 11, 2014) – Lawrence Farese, partner in the Naples, Florida office of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P., has been appointed to serve a three year term (2014-2017) on the Board of Directors of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.

The International Academy of Trial Lawyers is a group of elite trial lawyers representing both sides of the Bar: prosecutors and defense lawyers in criminal cases, and plaintiffs’ and defense counsel in civil litigation. The Academy is limited to 500 Fellows nationally and includes lawyers from more than 30 countries.  Fellowship is by invitation only, after an extremely careful vetting process. The Academy’s purposes are to promote reforms in the law, facilitate the Administration of Justice, promote the Rule of Law internationally and evaluate the standards of integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession.

Mr. Farese is a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer and Board Certified Business Litigation Lawyer with the Florida Bar, as well as a Certified Circuit Court Mediator with the Florida Supreme Court.  He focuses his practice on business and probate litigation.  In 2012 Mr. Farese was the recipient of The Donald E. Van Koughnet “Lion of the Law” Award for Professionalism presented by the Collier County Judiciary and in 2010 was named “Fort Myers Area Bet-the-Company Litigator of the Year” by Best Lawyers.  He is consistently named a “Super Lawyer” in business litigation and he is listed in Best Lawyers in America.
