MINNEAPOLIS (December 5, 2012) – Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. is pleased to announce that the firm has been named "Arbitration Firm of the Year" in Minnesota in the 2013 Global Law Experts Practice Area Awards.
“We are delighted to receive this award and recognition,” said Christopher Larus, Chair of the Firm’s Minneapolis IP Litigation Group. “We have extensive experience in international arbitration matters, seated both in Minnesota and throughout the world. It is very gratifying to receive this recognition for our practice.”
During the recommendations stage, Global Law Experts received more than 27,000 responses from business directors, in-house legal counsel, independent law firms, high net-worth individuals, bar associations, visitors to the GLE website and LinkedIn users. These recommendations were combined with GLE’s own independent research in order to create a shortlist of firms for each award. The shortlisted firms were judged on client testimonials, key cases from the past 12 months, legal rankings, overall reputation, publication contributions, speaking engagements and the performance and standing of the team’s individual lawyers.
The firm’s International Arbitration Practice Group attorneys have experience handling matters before a wide variety of arbitration tribunals, including the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), International Center for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), American Arbitration Association (AAA), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), and the World Intellectual Property Law Organization (WIPO).
