New York (June 25, 2012) - Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. is pleased to announce that Jeffrey Hovden has joined the firm as a partner in New York in the firm's Life Sciences and Hatch-Waxman Intellectual Property Litigation Group with a focus on generic pharmaceutical patent cases under the Hatch-Waxman Act and within the biotechnology industry. Mr. Hovden represents both generic and name-brand clients, and routinely advises clients on their intellectual property portfolios. He previously was a partner at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati PC.

He is admitted to practice in New York; U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York; U.S. Court of Appeals, Federal Circuit; and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Federal Circuit Bar Association.
Mr. Hovden received his B.A. in Biology and Philosophy, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Minnesota, and his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law where he was also the Notes Editor of the Columbia Journal of Law & the Arts.
