Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. has been listed #1 in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's "Top 25 List of Intellectual Property Law Firms." Rankings were based on the number of attorneys practicing intellectual property law throughout Twin Cities firms.

In 2009, the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation practice was Law360ranked #3 in the nation by on its list of firms with the highest concentration of intellectual property litigation practitioners.

The department, which is chaired by Ronald J. Schutz, is the largest within the firm, with more than 90 percent of the IP work revolving around patent litigation, with the rest coming from trademark, copyright and trade secret matters.
